Downloading and installing Google fonts Follow

If you are exporting your business plan as a Word document and applying one of our design themes, you may need to download one or more of the fonts used in that theme to your computer. If your computer doesn't currently have all the fonts used in the document, then it will substitute available fonts, which may effect the look of your plan.

We use Google fonts in our design themes. Google fonts can be downloaded for free and installed on any computer.

Note: To download individual fonts for a specific theme, please see this page. If you'd prefer to install all of our theme fonts on your computer at one time, you can download this ZIP file instead.

Downloading and installing Google fonts on Mac

  1. Use the links on this page to locate the Google fonts you need for your chosen theme.
  2. When you've selected a font from that page click on its link to bring up the Google Fonts page for that font. In the upper right corner of the page, click Select this font:
    google-fonts-select.png
  3. Your selected font is now accessible from the menu at the lower right of the page. Click the black bar to open it, and look for the download link in the upper right corner. Click that link, and then click Download:
    google-fonts-dl-menu.gif
  4. Your computer's Finder dialog box should appear next, allowing you to choose the location where the font file will be downloaded. It's usually easiest to do a search for "fonts" so that you can see all the available font folders. Then, choose the folder in which you see your existing font names. Click Save to start the download:

  5. Once the download is complete, locate the Zip file on your computer. (Again, you can do a search in your Finder for the font name.) You should see the Zip file icon. Right-click on it and choose Open With. Then select the utility you'd like to use:

  6. After extraction, the Zip file icon will be replaced with a regular folder icon. When you return to your downloaded Word file, you should now see the font displaying correctly. You may need to close your word processing program and reopen it to see the change.
