RETIRED Run-time Error 13: Type Mismatch Follow

The error that you have encountered is typically caused by some Windows system files not being properly installed or updated.

To resolve the issue, please follow the instructions below.

A. Download the update for the Visual Basic Run-time components:

   1. Click the following link to download the vbrun60sp6.exe update.
   2. When prompted to "Run" or "Save", choose to "Save" this file to the Desktop of your computer.
   3. After downloading, click close and proceed to the next download.

B. Download the update for the Windows Scripting components:

   1. Click the link below to download the Windows Scripting 5.6 update:
      For Windows 2000 / XP / Vista
      scripten.exe

   2. When prompted to "Run" or "Save", choose to "Save" this file to the Desktop of your computer.
   3. After downloading, click "Close" and then restart your computer to ensure that the files are not in use.

C. Install the Updates:

   1. Double click on the vbrun60sp6.exe file to install the updates to the Visual Basic Run-time Components.
   2. Once the update files have finished copying and the window disappears, double-click on scripten.exe. Once this update has been installed, 
   3. Restart the computer, and then 
   4. Launch your Palo Alto Software program to verify that the problem has been resolved.

D. If the problem persists, install Internet Explorer 7 on your system, which will add some important files to Windows:

       1. Visit the Internet Explorer web site. http://www.microsoft .com/ie
       2. Follow the instructions on this site to download and install that latest version of Internet Explorer on your PC.
       3. Restart your computer after the installation has finished.
       4. Launch your Palo Alto Software program.
