RETIRED Marketing Plan Pro: Program not opening in Windows XP Follow

If, after downloading the Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 1 update, your software will no longer open:

Microsoft released an update for Windows XP that causes a serious problem with one of the third-party shared components that our software relies on. Please follow these instructions to resolve the problem:

  1. Download the appropriate file from the link below:
  2. Save the file on your Desktop.
  3. Download the Visual Basic Runtime Update to the Visual Basic Scripting files:
  4. Save the file on your Desktop.
  5. After the download has finished, close all programs on your system and restart your computer.
  6. Double-click the downloaded SmartUI file to install it ("XP_SmartUI_Update_2002" or "XP_SmartUI_Update_2003").
  7. After the installation of the SmartUI update, double-click on the vbrun60sp5.exe file.
  8. Finally, restart your computer and the problem will be resolved.
