If, after downloading the Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 1 update, your software will no longer open:
Microsoft released an update for Windows XP that causes a serious problem with one of the third-party shared components that our software relies on. Please follow these instructions to resolve the problem:
- Download the appropriate file from the link below:
- Business Plan Pro 2002: XP_SmartUI_Update_2002
- Business Plan Pro 2003, Business Plan Pro 2003 PREMIER Marketing Plan Pro 6.0, Marketing Plan Pro 6.0 PREMIER Cash Compass, and PAERS: XP_SmartUI_Update_2003
- Save the file on your Desktop.
- Download the Visual Basic Runtime Update to the Visual Basic Scripting files:
- Save the file on your Desktop.
- After the download has finished, close all programs on your system and restart your computer.
- Double-click the downloaded SmartUI file to install it ("XP_SmartUI_Update_2002" or "XP_SmartUI_Update_2003").
- After the installation of the SmartUI update, double-click on the vbrun60sp5.exe file.
- Finally, restart your computer and the problem will be resolved.
