RETIRED Marketing Plan Pro: resolving text formatting issue Follow

Occasionally, when copy and pasting text into the program, the text may print differently from what appears on screen. Sometimes you will not be able to change the formatting of the text on screen either.

When text is copied and pasted into our program, all of the formatting code for the text is copied as well. This can result in plan content that displays one way on screen and prints in another format or occasionally text that cannot be re-formatted inside our software at all.

The steps below will guide you through removing any hidden formatting code from the text in your plan to allow for proper re-formatting.

First, remove incompatible formatting

  1. From the Plan Outline, select the Text Topic which is displaying this problem and then click into the text area.
  2. On the Edit menu, click Select All.
  3. Then, on the Edit menu, click Cut.
  4. Click the "H" button on the topic formatting toolbar (this is on the same line as the other formatting buttons).
  5. Delete anything that remains in this window.
  6. Click on the "H" button again.
  7. On the Edit menu, click Paste Special.
  8. Choose Unformatted Text and click OK.

Then, reset any desired formatting

  1. On the Edit menu, click Select All.
  2. On the Format menu, click Paragraph.
  3. Make any adjustments to line spacing, etc., and then click OK.
  4. Reset any custom formatting (bold, underline, etc.) which you require in this text area using the Format menu, or the buttons on your topic formatting toolbar.
