This Unhandled Error Report that you've submitted indicates a problem with the My Documents folder being missing or not located properly on the computer. When our software tries to export the business plan, the default location is the My Documents folder and when we try to "locate" the folder, we're getting an error from Windows:

"Could not find special directory 'My Documents'."

To resolve the error, you will need to reset the My Documents folder for your computer:

  • For Windows 10 the steps are:
    1. Press the Windows key and E keys to open Windows Explorer
    2. Right click on the "Documents" folder in Windows Explorer and choose Properties
    3. Click the Location tab
    4. Click the Restore Default button
    5. Click Apply and OK

  • For Windows 8 the steps are:
    1. Click the Windows Start button
    2. Type Documents then Left click on the Documents Library
    3. Right click the "Documents" folder and choose Properties
    4. Click the Location tab
    5. Click the Restore Default button
    6. Click Apply and OK
  • For Windows 7 the steps are:
    1. Click the Windows Start button
    2. Left click Documents
    3. Expand the "Documents" Library
    4. Right click the "My Documents" folder and choose Properties
    5. Click the Location tab
    6. Click the Restore Default button
    7. Click Apply and OK
  • For Windows XP and Windows Vista the steps are:
    1. Click the Windows Start button (or Windows Pearl)
    2. Right click on the My Documents folder and choose Properties
    3. Select the Target tab
    4. Click the Restore Default button
    5. Click Apply and OK

Once you've reset the default location for the My Documents folder, close and reopen Business Plan Pro then you should be able to Export the business plan normally.
