When you create Personnel entries in your forecast, they'll be designated as either:
- Direct labor employees (whose salaries are treated as direct costs)
- Regular labor employees (whose salaries are treated as overhead)
The option you select determines where those salaries will appear in your Profit & Loss. If you've entered some salaries and they don't seem to be showing up, you may just need to look in a different section of the Profit & Loss. See the options below:
Direct labor in the Profit and Loss
If you have Direct labor entries in your forecast, they will appear in the Direct costs section of your Profit & Loss. To see the Direct Labor line within the app, you will need to click the triangle icons to expand the table rows, as shown below:
To see this Direct labor line in your printed plan, you can add an Appendix to your plan when you download it. To include Direct labor details in this Appendix, make sure the box for Show individual direct costs is checked, as shown below:
Note: The checkbox for Show individual employees only applies to Regular Labor employees.
Note: This Appendix can include all of your financial statements, or just the Profit & Loss. Direct Labor only appears in the Profit and Loss.
In your downloaded plan, you'll see the Appendix added, with a Profit and Loss statement that includes an itemized list of your Direct labor entries:
Regular Labor in the Profit & Loss
If you have Regular labor entries in your forecast, they will appear in the Profit & Loss under Operating Expenses, in the Salaries & Wages section. Within the app, you can click the triangle icon to expand the line and see your individual entries:
To see an itemized list of your Regular labor entries in your printed plan, you can add an Appendix to your plan when you download it. To include regular labor details in this Appendix, make sure the box for Show individual employees is checked, as shown below:
