The revenue-only stream is good for any situation, including revenue you have forecast in detail elsewhere or that doesn't fit the other revenue stream options here. For example, if you have already prepared a detailed revenue forecast in an Excel spreadsheet, you can enter just the revenue totals into LivePlan so that those details appear in your business plan.
Adding a revenue-only stream to your forecast
To add a revenue stream, click Add Revenue Stream, and then follow Steps 1 through 3 below:
Step 1: Name the revenue stream
Enter a name for this revenue stream:
Note: You can click Save & Add Another at this step to quickly add several revenue streams to your forecast without specifying the type or further defining them. They will be listed in the Revenue table and when you click on them, you can complete the process of defining each one.
Step 2: Select the type
For the type, select Revenue only:
Step 3: Revenue
Enter the amount you'll make from this stream. This can either be a constant amount or one that varies by month:
Indicate when the revenue stream will start:
Editing or deleting a revenue stream
To edit an existing revenue stream:
Click on its name in the table:
The edit overlay will appear. You can click on any of the steps across the top that you wish to edit:
To delete a revenue stream:
Click on the revenue stream's name in the table:
Hover over the trash can icon, and click Delete:
