Outpost uses smart handling of attachments to help keep the file sizes of your messages efficient. This article explains what you can expect when you reply to or forward a message that has attachments.
Attachments drop from replies
When you reply to any conversation that originally contained an attachment, the attachment file will not be included in your reply. Outpost operates on the assumption that the person you're replying to has already seen the attachment in the original message:
If you are adding more recipients to your reply and they need to see the attachment, compose a forwarded message instead, so that the attachment remains in your message.
Attachments remain on forwards
When you forward a conversation, attachments will remain attached to your forwarded message. Outpost operates on the assumption that a new recipient will need to see the attachment:
If you need to, you can also remove the attachment from your forwarded message.
