When sending an email message, you may encounter a message that says:

Bad request: You have exceeded our recipient rate policy

This indicates that the user, or your account, has exceeded a limit for the number of messages that can be sent in an hour.

To prevent ECP from being used for mass mailing purposes, the following hard limits are in place:

  • An individual user can send
    • 10 msgs a min and/or
    • 250 an hour
  • The whole account can send
    • 100 messages a min and/or
    • 1000 messages an hour.
